January...It's Over...ONTO FEBRUARY

I may have emotional attatchments to things like calculus and music...I might even have a hatred toward economics that can only be described as unhealthy...BUT I DO NOT HAVE ANY PREFERENCES TO MONTHS! I am not one of the people that are like: "OHMYGOODNESSGRACIOUS!!! IT"S FEBRUARY LIFE IS GONNA BE GREAT!!!"...please...I am just not.

February, DOES bring it's own interesting things...such as the inevitable chick flick celebrating a holiday dedicated to procreating (the history on that is definately unsure...but the result is pretty clear -yes I am talking to you, all you November babies...-

Needless to say, February DOES bring other thing as well. Vancouver 2010. THE OLYMPICS. No I will not state my opinion of the games...because everyone has a different view, I am indifferent. However, they're coming and quickly...13 days to go O.O -OH MIGHTY SNOW DEMONS I BESEECH THEE SEND US SOME SNOW!!!-

February ALSO brings a new semester. AH, finally...no free block...but plenty to look forward despite that. With enough love-triangles to keep more then half of us entertained, i certainly WON'T be lacking on the entertainment factor :D (none of which will be mine, BY THE WAY)

FEBRUARY ALSO BRINGS UNIVERSITY acceptances or regections -GASP GASP GASP- (More on that when I get to that...so just breathe)

So, perhaps February DOES look a little kinder then January, BUT I DO NOT JUDGE A MONTH BY THE COVER! Please, Febraury COULD be JUST as hard as January...

PFFT...

SEE YA LATER JANUARY! I HOPE YOU NEVER COME BACK! (HEART)

Post-Exam week freedom

Alright, so...i KINDA over-reacted about my econ final. It was no where NEAR as bad as i Thought it was going to be. Actually it was quite...friendly O.O...i guess i was wrong to take my stesses and anger out on Econ...WELL BETTER THAT THEN ON REAL PEOPLE!

Now what to do with my self? Sleep? Most definately. Stay up on msn? YEEES! Write on this blog, which only 7 people read AND only when i tell them to?...Yeah...probably.

I now have semester 2 to deal with. Which really won't be that bad...unless of course a natural disaster hits our area. Semester 2 is going to be peaceful, and wonderful...and econ-less. Life goes on...THERE IS LIFE AFTER ECON! (however there is NO LIFE after CALCULUS!)

Now, to fill you in on my life AFTER the exam, i went skating. Yes, skating, complete with skate rentals, gloves (anyone notice that those red olympic gloves are EVERYWHERE!!!!) and two extra pairs of socks (those rental skates give nasty blisters). Needless to say it was fun. My music was with me, it was a GREAT TIME...(wow i need to have REAL friends...)

Well, that's all for now...Sorry but this blog just isn't as entertaining as some of my others...GIVE ME A BREAK...it's the end of exam week, i ain't gonna waste my limited amount of energy on beign witty.

CURSE YOU ECON...

So I have just, for the past 5 hours, typed out my ENTIRE econ course. PAINFUL. It's times like these, I wish I had been more proactive in class. Except, what would be the fun of cramming?
So, for all those who felt lost for the past 3 days since my last post, DON'T WORRY, I am here. And I am going to restore order back into your lives.

Well, reader, it's time I was honest with the world. I am cheating on Calculus for Music. I KNOW I KNOW, it LOOKS bad, but you've got to understand...there was nothing I could do. I just found all these great bands on youtube...and one thing lead to another...It just feels weird to look at Calculus knowing my feelings of adoration have dimmed slightly now that music has entered my life...i feel so ashamed.

Aside from this tragic tid-bit of information, my studying for econ has ranged from mildly uncomfortable to outright unbearable. No matter how you spin it, I have decided that econ and I are just NOT in the same relationship that Calculus and I...had. I mean we were bearly even friends...and now this? Shoving econ into your head is BOUND to lead to bad feelings and fueds...AGAIN CURSE YOU ECONOMICS AP 12.

However, once this week is over, I can finally sit back at drift effortlessly into semester two. Not that semester two will be particularily easier, just it won't be as stressful as this semester turned out to be. -grumble-

So, as I head into my FINAL exam (Chemistry went REALLY well by the way) of semster one and into a Drama-less second, i feel as though my life will become infinately brighter and more at peace....well, i thought I might be able to fool myself poeticly...didn't work...sigh

Dancing to the Sound of Microsoft...

To be honest with you reader, I ACTUALLY believed that's what Rihanna was saying in her "Please Don't Stop the Music"...Sad? Yeah, i know...What would the "Sound of Microsoft" even be???

Well, today was a "youth dance"...and it was...interesting. Something you must understand about youth church dances are that they are full of teenagers 14-18 all dancing a good two armlengths apart (even in slow songs). Of course, we knew we were in for a sad dance, when Tik Tok was played in it's entirety (the references to alcohol are usually mysteriously gone at these dances).

It didn't get much better. At about 9:30 i found myself 'chillin' with a whole group of my friends, simply because the 'dance' was a CRAZY FAIL! I mean no one was dancing, and the music was rather tragic..."IF I GO CRAZY WILL YOU STILL CALL ME SUPERMAN???"~that was one of the better songs...

So amidst listening to "budding talent" plunk out various, "musical" creations on a piano in a side room, i learned about the strangeness of my church's "youth drama"...think Glee...(yes, people just burst out into song).

So after, 3 and 3/4 hours, one cardio workout (to everytime we touch), 6 different slow dances (Where we all perfected the art of turning the girl with out telling her you are about to turn her...us guys were confused on that point...), rocking out to about 3 slow dances...avoid about 4 others, correcting round off techniques (and pronunciation) and discussing the "forces of attraction" with a kid DETERMINED not to get married, i'd say the dance was a success...

and Oh yeah, i lost my voice in the prcess...

What is the Oxidization Number for Finals?

So, ever faithful reader, in case you are wondering: TWO EXAMS ARE FINISHED! Only two more to go. Chemistry, I PWN YOU!

But let's take a moment to reflect:
CALCULUS is now OVER!!!! (weeps silently for a few moments). Alright, not completely, now i am left to study for a test in May, but that's not nearly as fun as the class was. But sadly all good things must come to an end-bother.

But with two days left in the semester things couldn't be more up in the air. A chem test tomorrow that could literally make or break you -curse you electrochemistry- and econ, that perpetually confusing course that seems to never make any more sense... Besides that, my friends to deal with the stresses of this rather hectic time have resorted to multiple "stress relievers", romantic chic lit, napping, falling off the face of the earth...and so on. (I just hope my stress levels stay at the happy normal they are currently at).

Despite my hollow feeling from the end of Calculus (that dang course about foot problems???), the rest of my life has been going pretty well. Except for grad just won't leave me alone. I have yet to go through a day WITH OUT the mention of grad. I am thinking that grad wants me to hate it...not that we were on speaking terms to begin with.

Stress levels are on the rise, and it's beginning to show that energy levels are dropping, at an almost frightening pace. But, with my week off, i plan to SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP. oh, and study for the Econ test have during the week too. (It's good to know where my priorities are these exam week...). But what I do to counteract my rising stress levels is: EXERCISE! And TOO much of it. Exercise for a stressful time. Go for a walk, or a jog. Go to the gym or play a game of soccer with your friends. Just remember STRESS IS BAD!

~This has been brought to you by the School Board of B.C. STAY HEALTHY CHILDREN~
PFFT THEY TOLD ME I WAS OBESE AND WAS GOING TO DIE??? (I'm underweight...what do THEY know...)

Just your typical Sushi Monday

Ok well...it wasn't quite. We had Chinese food instead of Sushi, so I suppose that calling today Sushi monday COULD count as a racial slander. SORRY to all potentially offended readers, it's just what we call 'em.

More to the point. One exam down, 3 more to go. WHOOOT! Next up Calculus. The final exam that may not even be marked if I do REALLY badly on it...so does it even count? Yes it does, i'll still be reviewing for it anyways.

But onto more pressing news: Sleep, or the lack thereof. No matter how hard you try and say it, teenagers ARE nocturnal. Next to those creepy monkey with the HUGE eyes, we are probably the most sleep-deprived mammals on the planet. Some of course, are worse then others, but we've all deprived ourselves on MORE then one occasion.

Staying up til mid-night? that's nothing. One in the morning? Child's play. Three? That takes a little effort. Anything past 4? You need serious mental help, not to mention your body probably hates you. What am I? Let's just say, that my body and I aren't speaking at the moment.

Granted of course, we do get the rest we need. Some nap, some crash over the weekends, and some...catnap. Catnaps...you know those 5-minute naps that when add up equal to like 4 hours of badly needed sleep.

Why am I talking about sleep? Well, with exams coming up it's totally accepted that sleep is taking a back seat to more important things, HOWEVER, there is a limit to the lack of sleeping. And secretly, I don't plan to piss of my already exhausted body any further. -YAWN-

PFFT! Who am I kidding? Facebook til 12? Msn til 3? OH YEAH! Here I come! Sleep...the final frontier.

A Note to the editor

Ah yes, Exams. The dreaded week of highschool is finally here. WHO IS EXCITED??? I AM!!! (definately not).

With 4 exams coming up (for three classes thank you very much) all with in days of eachother, studying has pretty much become an endurance test. Cramming as much knowledge into my brain as humanly possible without seriously damaging my ceribrial cortex. And believe me it's harder then it looks.

I know, everyone has gone through this before me. Well, I haven't. So let me stress. It's the climax of the dreaded month known as January. But, I'll survive.

Of course, exams aren't the ONLY drama around this time. Hardly. Grad, it's coming...fast. And with it comes limos, buses, dates (or lack of them), tables (we are up to three), spite, and roughly 25 people which all means MONEY! That is something I know nothing about. Pity..huh?

Alright alright lets be fair, Grad will have tonnes of great memories, i just secretly wish these memories didn't cost so much.

So, January has finally reached it's much anticipated conclution...so..ALL THOSE WHO ARE SCREWED PUT YOUR HANDS UP IN THE AIR...(it's a party in the libraryyyy...)

So it's flu season...again?

I for the longest time assumed flu season was in the middle of October...or even early November. Alright fine maybe EVEN December. BUT NOT JANUARY. I mean with the H1N1 hype (don't get me wrong, it's a serious thing, just handled poorly in my opinion) and over-obsessed newly-found "germophobes" doing ANYTHING to keep clean. I'm pretty sure the handsanitizer industry was benefitting greatly. AND even with children and teenagers downing the stuff, purely for their major amounts of almost lethal levels of alcohol. I was SO sure that flu season was over.

Well I have news. It's not. It's still here, or rather it's back.

It's FLU SEASON TWO: revenge of the common cold. Soon to come to a public place near you.

So remember...sneeze...politely (into the elbow...back of the knee....you know..). PLEASE cough into that same bodily pocket that you used for your sneezes, but HEAVEN FORBID, you sickies ACTUALLY stay home, and stop contaminating US!

Nah, i totally understand that approach to illness, why bother sitting around at home, when you can simply go about your life and do everything normally, just extremely hyped up on...advil, tylonal, strepsils. So with all these medications to mask the fact that you have fever of 40 degrees celcius, and are extremely contagious, there is no doubt that people should not stop their lives for the common flu virus. BE STRONG PEOPLE!

Now, Readers, i totally understand your thinking. "THAT'S GROSS! STAY HOME WHEN YOU ARE SICK!!!". Please, we've all done it. We've all gone out to work, school, a party too ill to even think, but we still go. So, illness is inevitable, but it's up to you how you feel about it.

My diagnosis this flu season repeat: stock up on your advils, tylenols, strepsils, and whatnot. Just besure to not let it get the best of you.

309 songs, 18.9 hours, 1.59 GB

I have 18.9 hours of music. Actually that's only on ONE playlist. My "go-to" playlist. However, it is important to note that my list does contain more musicals then current popular songs of the day. All those concerned please raise their "cyber" hands.

So, the first week of classes are over. Nothing really to report. Other then grad is coming. And since I've decided to go, somethings have become MUCH bigger then they really should. Of course, it's ONLY grad, which for any Canadian means that it's basically a chance to hang out with your friends in some of the most ridiculous get-ups ever seen...and some of the other dresses are nice too...

So after finishing my ONE glass of juice, all you can do for the next 3-4 hours is dance...on a dance floor that is SO small it is mostlikely a safety hazard once all the kids pile onto it. Those who don't, and avoid the perpetual body contact, end up sitting at their table eat or merely wondering and talking to all other "non-dancers" scattered amidst the sea of empty tables and chairs. BUT THAT IS WHAT GRAD IS ALL ABOUT.

Simply stated, Grad is an $120 outing with your friends. SO that means fundraisers..."anyone for chocolate chips? anyone for M'n'M's?" AH the infamous bake sale. Good...let's try that.

Well i'm at Song...267. (Don't worry i skipped some). Time to get back to work now.

The Application of Integration

AH, Calculus. Everybody LOVES MATH. I think secretly people have certain love for it, they just don't want to admit it. COME ON PEOPLE EVERYONE DOES IT! DON'T BE ASHAMED OF YOUR MATH CRAVINGS!

Fine. I'll concede, people don't ALWAYS love math. Grumble.

As I'm sitting at my computer, attempting to solve a calculus problem while listening to a song that i'm sure i DID NOT put on my itunes list, I felt that I should blog about my past few days.

The school year has started, and there is only a few more weeks before the olympics. And with the olympics comes...full body scanners??? Now there is a touchy subject. Anyone stop to think of what the person who has to sit behind the screen going to tell their friends when they ask for a brief job description? "I watch people, via a scanner, that virtually means i can see EVERYTHING, and I MEAN EVERYTHING." That just will make people lonely and friendless.

Despite the latest "controversy" over the 2010 Olympics, life seems to be going about smoothly and wonderfully. Granted of course, when the olympics come I'll still have to go to school, because schools are NOT going to break for the two weeks that world comes to vancouver. AND Vancouver already has a HORRIBLE traffic problem. But what can you do? Nothing, so sit down and finish your homework.

School is still easing into normal progression. And Calculus is still captivating. So I guess the question really is: Spend Grad night with my friends AT the grad dinner dance...or doing Calculus. We shall see. But integrals are sure alluring--they don't talk back.

Let the Crunch time begin

For all those NOT AT UNIVERSITY YET, you are most likely enjoying the last remaining weeks of this semester. With exams now looming on the horizon, it would seem that teachers seem to be more and more worried. And of course that means more work.

Not that I'm complaining. I find these last few weeks, difficult by certainly rewarding. The "nose to the grind stone" approach to learning does come with growing pains, but once you look back at the semester you just finished, a sense of relief seems to be ever present.

Exams are coming, and tests need to be studied for, projects to be completed, and more tests to be studied for. But once it's over there is a week of relaxation and joy. While all you university students are working hard WISHING you were still in high school, i'll be wasting my time becauser I won't have to worry about school work for an entire week. See, there are still some perks to being in High School.

It's Fianlly 2010

Despite the new year arriving rather...uneventfully (let's just say my new year's eve party was not as lively as one would have hoped), i can honestly say that 2010 is here, and it started with...rain. (bad omen?? I'm not sure...)

Well, people have all returned home for their respective universities, only to go back in a few days. Some, of course (keeners...cough cough) have already left. AND THEN there is those who are still stuck in highschool...

Regardless, of the rain or lack of traveling, there is some definate chances for 2010. I mean we have the olympics this year. VANCOUVER 2010. GO CANADA. Of course, there is more then that.

There is season 2 of Glee coming out. April, for all those less informed gleeks out there.

And the list goes on. 2010. It's a new decade, a dawn of a new time. And HOLY CRAP where is time going? I guess somethings never change. I'll always be racing for extra time. It's been a fun new year's day...well...let's not over do it now shall we.

Day 1 of the next 365 (still ain't a leap year) is practically done. ANd what do I have to show for it? A lousy blog with 2 posts...oh boy...this is going to be a GREAT YEAR...:P

They say the way you finish 2009 is the way you will stay for the rest of 2010. Unfortunately that means that i'm going to be stuck watch bogus hollywood movies with 3 other people...that's really sad. OH yeah...and playing speed.

MY NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION...get my self invited to a better New Year's Eve Party...and i've got 364 days to do it. WISH ME LUCK :D
